Clue

Clue is a good game because it is a mystery.  You get to find out what happened.

it takes 5 minutes or sometimes longer to set up.

The game lasts one hour or an hour and a half.

Sorry

This game takes about five minutes to set up 

The Game takes about 45 or 50 minutes to play

It sets up quickly and it's very competitive.  I like that way it gets its name.  When someone gets the Sorry card, they say, "Sorry!" when they trade places with another piece.

Monopoly

You can learn something about how to handle money.

The game helps your brain.  When I stare at a video game, I stare at a video screen and sometimes I get a headache.

You can play games like Monopoly and you won't get a headache.

One of the dangers of playing a video game is that you can get overly excited or disappointed and "BOOM" the video controller is broken.  That's $80 to replace it.

We have had games go for three days, but we sometimes help the players stay in the game by allowing people to put hotels on their property even if they don't have all of the properties of the same color.  For example, Ashton has survived a game by owning Broadway (and someone lands on his hotel and has to pay $6000). Then when he lands on Park Place with a hotel, that costs $4500 and he has the money to pay for that night.

The rules have a fast way of getting started by just distributing the property cards.
